Pastor Shannon Munday was saved as a child during a revival service at his home church in Spickard, MO. He was called to preach in a revival service in the home church of his high school sweetheart, Teresa. In 1989, he married Teresa and in 1990, he graduated from Truman University in Kirksville, MO. Shortly after Teresa’s graduation in 1991, Pastor Munday became the youth pastor at First Baptist Church of Steamboat Springs, CO.
In 1992, Shannon and Teresa moved to Shelby, NC, to begin Bible training at Ambassador Baptist College. While intending to stay for only one year, the Mundays spent the next four years at Ambassador; taking Bible classes and becoming the dorm supervisors for the college.
Pastor and Teresa, along with their 2 year old son, Tyler, moved to Trenton, MO in 1996 to pastor a church. In 1997, Pastor became the pastor of small Platte Valley Baptist Church congregation. Pastor and Teresa, Tyler and 3 month old son, Thayne, moved to Fort Morgan in May of 1997. The Lord blessed the family with a daughter, Cherith, in 1999. Together they serve a growing congregation with the goal to Glorify God, Edify the Believer, and Evangelize the Lost.
